Buzzcut Season

Premda, pitajte me u ovo vreme iduće godine :) Do tada, poigravanje volumenom i teksturom, umesto napadnih boja i prešarenih printova - meni i dalje nije dosadilo.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I am late, as usual. Barely half a year, but just in time for David's B-Day! Don't be surprised by this timing, as David Bowie Is exibition definitely won as my favorite London memory. Besides, sunny days and a bit of London rain, just to keep things interesting, go so well with these gray, foggy winter back home. I might as well be looking for excuses for being half a year late. Whatever the reason, I am glad to get back to my memories once again, as London is special, just as much as Bowie is. No wonder he started his career there because London is a city that accepts. Not that I turned into a London expert after a five-day tourist sprint, but that is my first impression. London, a city where everything is alright. And everyone. Even though it's huge, it's still humane and accessible. And green. Both for walking and cycling. And running all over Tate Modern and 80s extravagance From Club to CatwalkTo hang out with Vivienne Westwood, Leigh Bowery and Boy George and see all the fun and creativity that burst from the London club scene in the eighties. Of course, as soon as we landed I went to check out a flea market. It's not my fault, it's just that Portobello Road market is most beautiful on Saturdays. Sunday has also been reserved for - guess what - Brick Lane market :) More looking than shopping, though, as vintage goods here are so highly (over)priced! If I ever decide to come to London and get rich, I will come with my suitcases filled with vintage treasures from my beloved Nylon flea market - as cutoff Levi's jeans and trashy 80s neon shirts here are paid in pure gold. From Indonesia and Japan to Kenya and Argentina - if you're not going to shop in Brick Lane, at least you can eat. Olfactory temptations coming from numerous stands will leave no gastro-adventurist indifferent! My biggest regret is that we didn't have enough time to visit a Wes Anderson-inspired little restaurant in Brick Lane...

Five days surely were too short for London, and that's why I give you a bit of photo-spam, in the name of summer adventures and memories! I wish us all a lot of travelling in the following year, because getting to know the World is the most important thing in life! (besides, you can always spam people with your half a year old travel photos and it will still be ok :)
